Following in my mother’s footsteps, I entered the income tax field more than five decades ago. Over the years, I have worked directly with clients, managed an office of tax preparers, and taught income tax preparation courses to new professionals entering the industry. When my mother chose to retire, I moved the business into my home and continued building a strong and loyal clientele made up of friends, families, and community members from across the country. From January through April, my calendar stays full with people I genuinely enjoy seeing each year. We catch up, share stories, and take care of the annual responsibility of filing tax returns together. I have always appreciated the chance to exchange family updates and talk about our post–tax season vacations—it’s one of the many things that makes this work meaningful. While I look forward to retirement someday, I am content right now balancing my schedule—taking Tuesdays off to play Euchre and continuing to support the clients who have become such an important part of my life.

I spent 30 years in elementary education before finding myself following in my mother’s footsteps and joining our family-owned tax business. I never imagined I would one day be preparing income taxes, yet I have truly come to enjoy this new path. It is a privilege to serve the friends and families who have trusted our family for generations, beginning with my grandmother and continuing through my mother’s dedicated work in the income tax field. As the third generation in this business, I take great pride in helping our clients achieve the best possible tax outcomes with confidence and peace of mind. Our family’s legacy of service guides me every day, and I am honored to continue that tradition.

I serve as the landlord, the resident fix‑it person, and the general “whatever needs to be done” guy. Chris and I purchased the building in 2024—thanks to a helpful tip from one of our wonderful clients. Its location, right between Merrillyn in Waterford and our home in Swartz Creek, made it the perfect fit. We remodeled the space to meet our needs and to ensure a comfortable environment, especially since many of our clients are accustomed to Merrillyn’s living room and her famously cozy couch. You might see me around shoveling snow, changing furnace filters, answering phones, or even preparing taxes in the years ahead. Our goal is to offer excellent tax services in a warm, welcoming, family‑owned setting where people feel at ease.

I'm a retired teacher and administrator who spent 34 years in the education world. I had the pleasure of teaming up with Christine for many of those years, which eventually brought me to M&M Legacy Tax. I absolutely love our family atmosphere and our wonderful clientele. It's amazing getting to know the generations of families who have trusted M&M over the years - and I feel so lucky to be learning from the best of the best!

I am a recent computer science graduate who is stepping into our family's tax business. My Aunt Chris and Uncle Lou have been guiding influences throughout my life, and their example has helped shape the person and professional I strive to be. I'm grateful to work alongside such a strong and supportive team, and I look forward to getting to know our clients and helping maintain the relationships that make M&M feel like a family.
